KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee's triple jump duo of Alonie Sutton and Jalen Tate were the top collegiate performers in the women's and men's triple jump competition at Auburn's War Eagle Invitational, highlighting performances for the Big Orange across two meets on Friday.
Â
UT also sent a contingent of student-athletes to Charlottesville, Va. for the Virginia Challenge. Seniors Trey Quealy (800m, 1:55.39) and Nate Harper (pole vault, 4.82m / 15-9.75) posted season-best marks during the morning session before the remainder of Friday's competition was postponed to Saturday due to inclement weather. A new, revised schedule for the meet can be found at this link, with 28 athletes set to compete in 18 different events at UVA's Lannigan Field on Saturday.
Â
TRIPLE JUMP PROWESS: For the fourth-consecutive meet this outdoor season, Tennessee's jump squad has claimed at least a first- or second-place finish in either the men's or women's triple jump.
