10 Things to Know Before Saturday's Garth Brooks Concert
November 13, 2019 | General
The Garth Brooks Stadium Tour—featuring one of the world's best-selling musical artists of all-time—is set to rock Neyland Stadium Saturday night. It is the first concert at Neyland Stadium in 16 years and just the third in the massive venue's nearly 100-year history.
Below are some important things to know leading into Saturday's spectacular show.
1. Arrive early, beat the traffic and enjoy Volunteer hospitality. Traffic is expected to be heavy leading up to concert time, so concert-goers are strongly encouraged to arrive early and enjoy all the pre-concert festivities around campus.
2. Visit the "Low Places" pre-concert festival at Humanities Plaza, which will feature food, beverages and big-screen entertainment. Merchandise stands will be available to purchase Garth Brooks memorabilia in advance of the show.
3. BRING A CLEAR BAG. If you need to bring a bag, make sure it's clear.
4. ENTER THE STADIUM EARLY. Gates open at 5 p.m. ET. Find your seats early, and visit the merchandise stands prior to the show starting at 7 p.m. ET.
5. Floor-seat holders: Enter at Gates 7, 9, 18 or 25 for ease of entry and immediate access to your seating location.
6. Visit UTsports.com/Garth for all pertinent concert information, including entrance gates, items that are prohibited (purses and backpacks) and items that are permitted (blankets and hand warmers).
7. If you plan to purchase alcohol, please be ready to present your ID. An ID is REQUIRED for every purchase.
8. Remember that parking on campus is by permit only. There are no event-day sales for parking. If you pre-purchased parking, check your mail for your parking permit. There are no mobile parking permits. You must have your hangtag to enter the garage/lot.
9. Allow plenty of time if you choose to use a rideshare vendor for transportation. For more information on logistics related to rideshare services, visit UTsports.com/Garth.
10. For those needing a ride to Neyland Stadium from downtown, FREE Garth Stadium Tour Shuttles will run continuously from downtown's Krutch Park to campus from 2 p.m. ET Saturday until 12:30 a.m. ET Sunday.
