Send Your Valentine a Smokey-Gram
February 01, 2019 | General, Cheer, Dance & Mascots
Unique opportunity for Big Orange fans and their "special someone"
Smokey the Mascot warms the hearts of fans on Rocky Top every time the Volunteers or Lady Vols compete. Now, Tennessee fans have a unique opportunity for Smokey himself to personally warm the heart of a special someone.
Beginning Monday, Feb. 11 and continuing through Thursday, Feb. 14, fans can purchase a valentine delivery and 10-minute visit from their favorite costumed mascot to their favorite Big Orange Valentine. The $100 fee also will include a single stem rose, a box of chocolates and a personalized valentine card. Additionally, fans who purchase a delivery will have a chance to win tickets to Tennessee's men's basketball game against South Carolina on Feb. 13 (6:30 p.m. ET).
Sending Smokey out into the community for the week to make deliveries is a natural move for the mascot, who is so recognizable on campus and beyond. A heartwarming visit from a smiling Smokey is a surefire way to add an extra-sweet surprise to someone's Valentine's Day.
Deliveries must be within 10 driving miles of the University of Tennessee campus and must be paid in full before Feb. 11. Requests will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
