Tennessee Men's Golf Top Five in Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll

Vols one of three teams in the polls to receive first place votes
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The University of Tennessee men's golf team is ranked as the No. 5 team in the Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll, as announced Friday morning.
The Vols, who were receiving votes in the preseason poll, made the largest leap in the country while also being just one of three teams to garner first place votes.
In their first two tournaments under the directions of head coach Brennan Webb, the Vols have won both the Carpet Capital Collegiate Invitational and the Inverness Intercollegiate.
The Carpet Capital field included seven teams in the top 25 while Tennessee ran away with the Inverness Intercollegiate, winning by seven strokes with each player in the lineup finishing inside of the top 25 on the individual leaderboard.
Tennessee was ranked as high as 18th in the poll last season.
