Garrison captures Chattanooga Choo Choo Invitational

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- University of Tennessee rising junior Brayden Garrison captured the Chattanooga Choo Choo Invitational title, Wednesday.
Garrison led the tournament wire-to-wire en route to a seven shot victory at Council Fire Golf Course. He carded a 54-hole score of 201 (-15) shooting a sub-70 round each day.
He held a three shot lead heading into the final day and a 68 (-4) propelled him to the runaway victory.
In 12 tournaments last season, Garrison finished inside of the top 25 five times which included a fourth place finish at the Yale Spring Invitational.
Along with Garrison, the Vols had three other players competing in the tournament in redshirt junior Nolan Ray, sophomore Chase Roswall and junior Hunter Wolcott. Ray (E) and Wolcott (+1) joined Garrison in the top 25 tying for 19th and 24th, respectively. Roswall would tie for 51st in the event.
Former Vol Jack Smith also competed in the tournament tying for 14th at 1-under-par.
