OMAHA, Neb. -- University of Tennessee alumni David Skinns captured his first Web.Com Tour victory Sunday at the Pinnacle Bank Championship.
In his 17th event of the season, the Lincoln, England native posted rounds of 68-66-69-65 to secure a two-shot win over Sungjae Im at 16-under-par for the week.
With the victory, Skiins catapults up nearly 100 spots to No. 33 on the Web.com Tour Regular Season money list, ensuring a Finals berth and full status through 2019.
His winnings puts him squarely in the hunt for a PGA TOUR card via finishing in a top 25 spot on the Web.com Tour.
During his time in Knoxville, Skinns picked up two individual wins including the 2005 SEC Championship. He ranks third all-time in career stoke average at 72.25.
In his senior season, Skinns helped lead the Vols to an 11th place finish at the NCAA Championships, the second highest in school history.
