Williams Qualifies for U.S. Women's Amateur

BRASELTON, Ga. -- Tennessee junior Micheala Williams carded an even-par 71 at the U.S. Women's Amateur Qualifier in Braselton, Georgia, and will compete in the 2018 Women's Amateur in August.
Williams tied for third place and was one of seven players to advance from the qualifier. She is the first Lady Vol to qualify for the championship event since Anna Newell did so in 2016.
The U.S. Women's Amateur will be played at the Golf Club of Tennessee in Kingston Springs, Tennessee, from August 6-12. The event features two rounds of stroke play with the top 64 golfers advancing to match play.
