EUGENE, Ore. — The Tennessee women earned four All-America honors Saturday to conclude the NCAA Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field.Â
Senior sprinter Shania Collins ran in her first two career finals to earn a pair of first-time All-America accolades.Â
Battling torrential rain on the 100m, she placed fifth in 11.41 seconds with LSU's Aleia Hobbs winning in 11.01. Less than an hour later, Collins returned to the track to take eighth in the 200m (24.01) as Southern California's Anglerne Annelus took first (22.76).
Senior Cidae'a Woods, competing in her first NCAA championship, came away a second-team All-American. She took 12th in the triple jump with a mark of 13.15m (42-1.75) on her third and final attempt, just off her career best.Â
Junior Maya Neal, Tennessee's first heptathlete at the NCAA championships since 1996, earned second-team All-America honors with a 13th-place finish of 5,555 points.Â
Neal was as high as 10th in the standings after recording the third-best long jump in the field at 5.99m (19-8) with two events remaining.Â
