Cosgrove, Quealy to Represent UT at SEC Career Tour

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Former rower Kathryn Cosgrove and senior Trey Quealy will represent Tennessee at the SEC Career Tour, which will be be held Nov. 27-29 in Atlanta.
Twenty-eight current and former Southeastern Conference student-athletes from the 14 institutions are scheduled to participate. This marks the third consecutive year the SEC has invited student-athletes to participate in the career tour leading up to the SEC Football Championship Game.
The goal of the career tour is to provide exposure for SEC student-athletes who are seeking career opportunities in various fields. The group is scheduled to visit the headquarters and meet with executives at several Atlanta-based corporations, including UPS, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, The Home Depot and the Atlanta Hawks.
Also included on the agenda is a dinner with SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey and presentations by Josh Foliart (former Arkansas football student-athlete and co-founder and CEO of the MULTIPLi Global) and Randy Hain (founder and president of Serviam Partners). Former Auburn swimmer Beatriz Travalon and former Georgia women's basketball player Haley Clark will engage the group in a panel discussion on how the SEC Career Tour helped them during their job search process.
Cosgrove, a senior from Johns Creek, Georgia, majoring in therapeutic recreation, was named to the 2015-16 First-Year SEC Honor Roll and the 2017 Academic All-Big 12 first team. Now medically exempt from competition, she competed for two seasons with Tennessee's varsity rowing squad. As a sophomore, Cosgrove rowed six seat in the 1V8+ that posted a third-place finish in the Grand Finals of the 2016-17 Big 12 Championship with time of 6:26.997. As a freshman, she rowed bow seat for the 1V4+ at the Big 12 Conference Championship, helping the boat to a season-best time of 7:21.494 mark in the preliminary round.
Quealy, a senior from North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, is in his fourth year an a middle distance runner for the Vols as well as a member of the cross country team. As a junior last season, he ran the 800 meters in a career-best time of 1:53.44 at the USC Power 5 Trailblazer Challenge. He is majoring in supply chain management and is a two-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
In addition to Cosgrove and Quealy, the SEC Career Tour attendees also include: Alabama's Alize Ford (men's track and field) and Chloe Maize (soccer); Arkansas' Tamara Kuykendall (women's track and field) and Sarah Shaffer (gymnastics); Auburn's Bria Johnson (women's basketball) and Casey McElroy (baseball); Florida's Lexi Bolton (lacrosse) and Emily Petillo (lacrosse); Georgia's Aaron Davis (football) and Kayla Smith (women's track & field); Kentucky's Glen Brown (men's swimming and diving) and Sidney Duke (gymnastics); LSU's Dajour Braxton (men's track and field) and Monica Dibildox (women's golf); Ole Miss' Thomas Dillard (baseball) and Tara Sullivan (soccer); Mississippi State's Khristian Carr (volleyball) and Mitchell Storm (men's basketball); Missouri's Lauren Gaston (soccer) and Alexander Samples (baseball); South Carolina's Jackson Smith (men's swimming and diving) and Shannon Williams (beach volleyball); Texas A&M's Darby Gardner (equestrian) and Mateo Gonzalez Medina (men's swimming and diving); and Vanderbilt's Katherine Hornaday (women's swimming and diving) and Lachlan McPhee (men's tennis).
