Strobach Set For Latin America Amateur Championship

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee men's golfer Felipe Strobach, a native of Lima, Peru, will compete in the upcoming Latin America Amateur Championship.

The 72-hole stroke-play event will take place Jan. 20-23 at the Prince of Wales Country Club in Santiago, Chile. There will be 108 golfers competing in the event.

Strobach, a junior, attended high school at Cambridge College in Lima and began his collegiate golf career in the U.S. at South Dakota State University before transferring to UT prior to the 2016-17 season.

No stranger to the international stage, Strobach is a two-time member of the Peruvian National Team who held the No. 1 spot in the Peruvian amateur rankings in 2015. He owns an 18th-place finish at the 2015 Pan American Games, representing his home country at the event in Toronto, Canada.
