Newell, Polo Advance to Stage II of Q-School

Senior Anna Newell and VFL Lucia Polo are among 90 players who advanced to LPGA Qualifying School - Stage II
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- After four rounds of play, senior Anna Newell and former Vol Lucia Polo advanced to Stage II of LPGA Tour Qualifying School in Venice, Florida.
The duo finished in the top 90 during Stage I, tying for 48th place (-1, 287) and 79th place (+3, 291), respectively.
The second stage of Q-School will be held Thursday, October 19 through Sunday, October 22 at Plantation Golf and Country Club. The top 80 players and ties will advance to Qualifying School Stage III while all other players who complete 72 holes will receive Symetra Tour status (based on finish) for the 2018 season.
Newell and Polo will be joined by VFL Erica Popson who automatically qualified for Stage II due to her 36th place ranking on the 2017 Symetra Tour Official Money List. Symetra Tour members ranked 1-150, plus those tied for 150th place, are eligible to play in the second stage.
