Garrison, Ray Qualify For Tennessee Amateur Championship

Vols Brayden Garrison and Nolan Ray were on fire on Monday in State Am qualifying at Vanderbilt Legends Club
FRANKLIN, Tenn. -- Tennessee's Brayden Garrison and Nolan Ray have qualified for the 102nd Tennessee Amateur Championship after shooting 4-under 67 and 2-under 69, respectively, at the Monday's Middle Tennessee Area Qualifier at Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tennessee.
UT's Hunter Wolcott carded a 3-over 74 and is the first alternate after tying for 23rd.
Garrison finished second following a fantastic round that featured birdies on the first, fifth, 11th, 14th and 18th holes.
Ray tied for third place, had birdies on the sixth, 14th and 16th and made an eagle on the 518-yard, par 5 18th.
Belle Meade Country Club in Nashville, Tennessee, will host the 102nd Tennessee Amateur Championship from Aug. 8-11. The 72-hole event will have a cut of the low 60 scores and ties after the second round. The practice round will take place on Aug. 7.
