VFL Lamb Ties For 3rd At John Deere Classic

SILVIS, Ill. -- Tennessee men's golf alum Rick Lamb posted the best finish of his PGA TOUR career to date on Sunday when he tied for third place in the John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill.
Lamb shot 69-70-63-6--268 (-16) to tie with Wesley Bryan for third. Bryson DeChambeau won the event at 18-under and Patrick Rodgers was second at 17-under.
Lamb was outstanding on the weekend. His 8-under 63 on Saturday tied for the best round of the tournament and he remained hot on Sunday with a 5-under 66 to move up five spots. His three eagles over 72 holes were the most in the tournament and he also had 17 birdies.
Lamb now has two top 25 finishes for the 2017 PGA TOUR season. He previously tied for 17th in the Travelers Championship on June 25.
