Incoming Vols Cross, Roswall Win Tennessee Four-Ball Championship

Incoming freshmen Spencer Cross and Chase Roswall enjoyed a pair of dramatic match play wins on the 18th to win the 47th Annual Tennessee Four-Ball Championship
MORRISTOWN, Tenn. -- Incoming Tennessee freshmen Chase Roswall and Spencer Cross won the 47th Annual Tennessee Four-Ball Championship on Saturday at The Country Club in Morristown, Tenn.
Roswall and Cross won 1 up over Tennessee men's golf alum and VFL Jack Smith and his playing partner Ryan Greer in Saturday's final. Roswall drained a 40-foot putt on the 18th to earn the win.
Earlier on Saturday, Roswall and Cross earned a 1 up semifinal win over Lee Maxwell and Wes Korth. Cross was the hero of that semifinal as he made a birdie on the 18th to give the UT duo the win. Smith and Greer took a 2 up win over Tory Davis and Tanner Davis in their semifinal.
Roswall and Cross were the No. 3 seed in match play after the pair combined to shoot 15-under in two rounds of stroke play. Smith and Greer tied for eighth in stroke play at 12-under.
