ARRINGTON, Tenn. -- The beautiful Barn at Sycamore Farms hosted the University of Tennessee's third Big Orange Caravan stop of 2017 Monday, with a sold-out throng of UT fans sharing their excitement about the upcoming academic year on Rocky Top.
Monday's event doubled as the 51st annual UT All-Sports Picnic. Tennessee football coach Butch Jones, along with seniors Emmanuel Moseley, Jashon Robertson and Kendal Vickers, traveled to the Music City following their midday appearance at SEC Media Days in Birmingham, Alabama, earlier Monday.
Other special guests from Tennessee Athletics Monday in Nashville included the "Voice of the Vols," Bob Kesling and Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics John Currie. Multiple VFLs who hail from the midstate also were present, including former football standouts Bubba Miller and Seth Reagan and basketball standout Mike Jackson.
As part of the new-look Caravan this year, Emma Farrar, a rising UT freshman from Nashville and graduate of Harpeth Hall High School received a scholarship awarded by the Nashville UT Knoxville Alumni Chapter. Farrar aspires to major in Aerospace Engineering.
This year's caravan concludes Tuesday in the Tri-Cities, with a stop at the Kingsport Farmers Market from 5-7 p.m. ET. Walk-up admission for attendees age 13 and older is $10 (children 12 and under receive free admission). A crowd of more than 800 is expected to be on hand.
