SUMMER UPDATE: Williams Places Second in Alabama Amateur

Alabama Women's State Amateur Championship (June 21-23)
- Location: Montgomery, Ala. | Montgomery Country Club
- Competitor: Micheala Williams
Williams placed third in the stroke play portion of the Alabama Women's State Amateur Championship with a one-over 70. In the Round of 16 match, she beat her opponent, three and one, before taking her quarterfinal match, one up. The Athens, Alabama native then advanced to the final round after winning her semifinal match, two and one. Williams dropped the final to Montevallo's Elaine Wood, finishing runner-up.

U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball (May 27-31)

- Competitor: Waverly Whiston - 69-73--142 | 2 and 4 (RD of 32)
Incoming freshman Whiston tied for 31st place in the stroke play portion of the U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball after winning a two-hole playoff. Whiston then dropped her match, two and four, in the Round of 32.
U.S. Women's Open Sectional Qualifier (June 5)
- Location: Braselton, Ga. | Chateau Elan Golf Club
- Competitor: Blakesly Warren
Warren shot rounds of 77 and 73 in the U.S. Women's Open Sectional Qualifier for a 36-hole total of 150 (+6), placing fifth in the tournament.
U.S. Women's Open Sectional Qualifier (June 7)
- Location: St. Louis, Mo. | Bogey Hills Country Club
- Competitor: Micheala Williams
Alabama native Williams tied for ninth place in the U.S. Women's Open Sectional Qualifier with a six-over 148. She carded 76 and 72 in the par-71 event.
Tennessee Women's Amateur (June 12-16)
- Location: Collierville, Tenn. | Memphis National Golf Course
- Competitor: Haley Wagner
In the Tennessee Women's Amateur, Wagner earned a bye in the Round of 32 to advance to the Round of 16. She dropped the match, three and two, to Tennessee Tech's Arianna Clemmer. Wagner will be back in action on June 27 in the U.S. Women's Amateur Qualifier at Ansley Golf Club in Roswell, Georgia.
Western Women's Amateur (June 12-17)
- Location: Elmhurst, Ill. | River Forest Country Club
- Competitor: Allison Herring
Herring carded a one-over 37 on the back nine of the opening round of the Western Women's Amateur en route to shooting 82. She then recorded 78 on Day Two of the event to finish the qualifying rounds with a 16-over 160. The New Jersey native advanced to the Round of 16 in the First Flight, going on to win nine holes of match play before being defeated in a play-off. Herring will be back in action on July 11 in the U.S. Women's Amateur Qualifier at the Kenwood Golf and Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland.
U.S. Women's Open Sectional Qualifier (June 12)
- Location: Bradenton, Fla. | Bradenton Country Club
- Competitor: Anna Newell
Newell placed fourth in the Bradenton U.S. Women's Open Sectional Qualifier with a score of 146 (+2). The Florida native shot rounds of 74 and 72 in the one-day tournament. Newell will be back in action on June 30 in the U.S. Women's Amateur Qualifier at Mission Inn Resort in Howey in the Hills, Florida.
