The Vols (15-10, 1-8 SEC) enter Tuesday's contest against MTSU (13-15, 3-6 C-USA) with a current two-game win streak against the Blue Raiders and the fourth-best team average in the Southeastern Conference at .296.

Due to expected inclement weather last month, Tennessee's previously scheduled midweek matchup at MTSU on Tuesday, March 14 at 5 p.m. ET was postponed. No makeup date has been set or released at this time.
Tuesday's game marks the first game between UT and MTSU since April 19, 2016 in Murfreesboro, Tenn., when the Vols took a 4-2 win at Reese Smith Jr. Field. In that game, the Vols used a ninth-inning rally to push past the Blue Raiders, 4-2.
