KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee track and field heads to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the two-day SEC Relays at Bernie Moore Track on the campus of LSU on Friday and Saturday.
Field events begin at 3 p.m. on Friday with the women's discus while the track opens at 5:30 p.m. Saturday's schedule kicks off with the men's hammer throw at 10:30 a.m. The meet will be a combined score based on men's and women's relays in nine different events including a jumps and a throws relay.
"We're headed south to LSU and are looking forward to the first-ever Southeastern Conference Relays. LSU is a great host and they offer a competitive environment on the Bernie Moore Track. We're approaching this weekend, running the traditional relays, but we are also thrilled to have our field events count in relay scoring and also be participating in a few open results. Mostly though, we are thrilled to see our conference competitors a little bit early to give us some time to gear up for the battle that is the SEC Championships. We look forward to this trip to see what we will be expecting in a few weeks at the SEC Championships."
