Rubadue Wins Platform to Close Auburn Invite

AUBURN, Ala. — Tennessee junior Rachel Rubadue won the platform diving competition Tuesday to close out the Auburn Diving Invitational.Â
Rubadue won with a score of 273.25, edging out South Carolina's Allyson Nied by two points. Ana Celaya Hernandez was fifth (226.75) and Lily Schneider was 10th (201.45).Â
Freshman Keegan Richardson was the lone Vol competing on the men's side finishing sixth with 299.45.Â
"We ended the meet on a good note with Rachel taking platform in a relatively close competition," Tennessee diving coach Dave Parrington said. "It was good to see Rachel compete after being out during final exams and a couple days after because of an illness. She had not been on the tower for the last week and a half, so it was a good result for her.
"All told it was a very productive week and a half between Colin [Zeng's] excellent performance at nationals and the crew here in Auburn. It was a great way to end the fall and we're looking forward to the spring semester and the meat of our schedule."
