Zeng Takes Silver on 3-Meter at Winter Nationals

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Tennessee junior Colin Zeng climbed two spots to take silver on the 3-meter springboard Saturday at the USA Diving Winter Nationals.
Zeng started the finals in fourth place but worked his way up the leaderboard with a six-dive score of 452.00, giving him a combined total of 1214.50. Michael Hixon of Indiana won with a score of 1231.85.
His score of 452.00 is the second-high score in program history. Senior Liam Stone holds the school record (463.50).
"It was an excellent performance all day, and I am happy for the way Colin competed and looking forward to tomorrow' event on platform," Tennessee diving coach Dave Parrington said.
Zeng looks to add to his championship medal count with the platform diving competition Sunday.
