BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Tennessee's Colin Zeng was named SEC Diver of the Week for a third time and Tess Cieplucha picked up her first SEC Swimmer of the Week honors after a sweep at Louisville, the conference office announced Tuesday.Â
Zeng swept the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions for the second time this season, helping the No. 15 Tennessee men beat No. 13 Louisville for the first time since 2012, 170-130.Â
A redshirt junior from Fujian, China, Zeng led a 1-2-3 Tennessee finish in the 3-meter springboard with a score of 439.65, a season-best and the fifth-best six-dive score in program history. He also won the 1-meter contest in 357.00.Â
Cieplucha, a sophomore from Georgetown, Ontario, was one of three Lady Vols to win two events in No. 12 Tennessee's close 156-144 victory over No. 11 Louisville.Â
She won the 400-yard IM in 4:11.22, currently the fifth-fastest time in the NCAA. She also placed first in the 500 freestyle (4:48.43) and took second in the 200 freestyle (1:47.83).Â
The award marks Cieplucha's first career SEC swimmer of the week honors; she was the freshman of the week once last season.Â
Tennessee swimming and diving wrap up the joint fall schedule by hosting the Tennessee Invitational, which will be held Nov. 30 through Dec. 2. The divers will also compete at the Auburn Diving Invitational (Dec. 17-19).Â
