Lady Vols Add Duckworth to 2018 Class
November 15, 2017 | Women's Tennis
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee women's tennis team added a second member to its 2018 class on Wednesday in Kylie Duckworth.
Â
"When we had the privilege of meeting Kylie, you could tell right away she was special," head coach Alison Ojeda said. "She was someone who separated themselves from her peers. I noticed that right away and wanted to do whatever we could to get her to join our family on Rocky Top. She will make our program better and will be a role model within our team."
Â
A native of Martinez, Georgia, Duckworth is rated as a four-star on TennisRecruiting.net. Duckworth, who will be a preferred walk-on, joins Kaitlin Staines as part of the Lady Vols' 2018 class.
Â
"I'm just really excited to be a part of a great program with a great foundation in its players and coaches," Duckworth said. "I can't wait to don orange for the next four years."
Â
The Lady Vols wrapped up their fall season with the Tennessee Fall Invite at the end of October. The team will return to action on Jan. 20-21, when they hit the road to face Old Dominion and William & Mary to begin the spring season.
