GOLD COAST, Australia — Tennessee senior Liam Stone competed on 3-meter springboard this week at the FINA Diving Grand Prix.Â
Stone, representing his home country of New Zealand, took fourth in his six-diver semifinal with a score of 349.05. He advanced out of the preliminary round with the seventh-best score (361.25).Â
The meet presented a sudden transition to outdoor competition for Stone, who has been diving and training indoors as part of the college season. The conditions were wet and windy on 3-meter.Â
The Vols are back in action at the end of the month for the Tennessee Invitational, a three-day meet starting Nov. 30.Â
