Vols Stand Fifth After Second Round Of Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate
JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. – Tennessee redshirt freshman Sean Wilcox matched his first-day score with another 67 on Saturday and sits in fourth place with a 10-under total of 134 after the second round of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate.

Wilcox, playing his first tournament in the Big Orange lineup, carded four birdies on the front nine and three on the back, tying his career-best round from Friday. The product of Frisco, Texas, sits just two strokes back of Missouri's Hayden Buckley, the individual leader with a 12-under score of 132.

The #15/11-ranked Vols, meanwhile, slipped from second to fifth on day two. They followed Friday's 280 with a 6-under score of 282 on Saturday to stand 14-under for the tournament at 562. Penn State was 16-under in the second round to lead all teams with a 27-under tally of 549. No. 5/5 Missouri is second at 558, followed by #17/17 Kent State and #46/46 Louisville in third at 559.

Tennessee's second-best performer after the second round is individual Chase Roswall. The freshman from Bristol turned in a 68 on Saturday and holds at tie for ninth at 138. He turned in a pair of birdies on the front nine and four on the back.

Sophomore Brayden Garrison and freshman Spencer Cross are tied for 22nd with 2-under scores of 142. Cross, from Sevierville, turned in a second-round 69, while Nolensville native Garrison produced a 72 on Saturday.

Sophomore Rhys Nevin, who hails from Cheshire, England, is tied for 32nd at 144 after carding a 74 on the second day, while his classmate Jake Meenhorst (Auckland, New Zealand) withdrew.

Sunday's final round at the Blackthorn Club at The Ridges will get underway at 8:40 a.m. for Roswall, while the team will begin teeing off at 9:40 a.m. All Tennessee golfers will begin on No. 1.
