Vols Take 7th In Second Round

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee men's golf finished seventh in their second round of the Carpet Capital Collegiate in Rocky Face, Ga. on Saturday.

The Vols combined for 1-over 577 after the second round and continued to lead the field in total pars with 117.
Sophomore Felipe Strobach led the team for the second day in a row as he shot 2-under 142. Strobach added two birdies to the Vols' card and tied for 18th place.
Brayden Garrison followed, carding 1-under 143 for the event. With a combined nine birdies through two rounds, Garrison continues to make the list for most birdies in the tournament.
Climbing up the leaderboard, Wolcott is now tied for 30th after shooting 1-over 145 during the second round.
Seniors Lorenzo Scalise and Jack Smith shot 5-over 149 and tied for 53rd place.
Competing as an individual, senior Juan Carlos posted 12-over 156 and sits in 70th place after two days of play.
The final round is slated for Sunday, Sept. 11.
