Davis-White Qualifies For Rio Olympics

KINGSTON, Jamaica -- Tennessee rising senior Kali Davis-White has qualified for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics with Team Jamaica in the women's 200 meters.
On Sunday at the Jamaican National Senior Championships at National Stadium, Davis-White finished third in the women's 200-meter final with a time of 22.94 (-3.1). At 20 years old, she was the youngest sprinter in the final. Simone Facey (22.65) and Veronica Campbell Brown (22.80) finished first and second, respectively.
Davis White qualified for Sunday's final after winning her 200-meter semifinal heat on Saturday with a time of 23.02 (-0.3). She is coming off of a standout debut year at Tennessee in 2016 with finishes at the NCAA Championships in both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
The 2016 Olympics run from Aug. 5-21 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on NBC.
