Vol Trio Set for FINA World Championships

WINDSOR, Canada -- Tennessee senior Kira Toussaint and junior Peter John Stevens are competing this week at the FINA Short Course World Swimming Championships.
Toussaint, who represented the Netherlands in the Olympics this summer in the 100-meter backstroke, has rejoined her team in Canada this week. She will race in the 50 backstroke, 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke.
Competing for Slovenia, Stevens will swim in the 50 breaststroke and 100 breaststroke.
Former Vol and 2016 Olympian Molly Hannis is also in action this week, racing the 50 breaststroke, 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke. She swam the 200 breaststroke in the Rio Games, making the semifinals.
Racing starts Tuesday and runs through Sunday. Events involving the Vols today include the women's 50 breaststroke and 100 backstroke and the men's 100 breaststroke.
