SWIM CENTRAL: Louisville

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee swimming and diving team has a busy two days ahead with a home meet Thursday against Louisville and a road double dual meet Friday against Kentucky and Indiana in Lexington, Ky.
Thursday's meet begins with diving at 1 p.m. and swimming starting at 2 p.m. at Allan Jones Aquatic Center. Admission is free.
On Friday, the Vols' road meet against Kentucky and Indiana starts at 11 a.m. at the Lancaster Aquatic Center.
Tennessee officially opened the season last week with a sweep of North Carolina in a rare two-day meet. The 13th-ranked Tennessee men (1-0) collected 14 first-place finishes in a 216-156 victory over the Tarheels. The 11th-ranked UT women (1-0) ended with 12 wins overall in the 205-167 dual meet victory.

AWARD WINNING: Tennessee earned five of six SEC weekly awards after the UNC sweep. With four individual victories against North Carolina, Sam McHugh was named the male swimmer of the week, and three-race winner Colleen Callahan was the female swimmer of the week. Tess Cieplucha collected her first collegiate win in the 400 IM to earn SEC Freshman of the Week honors.
Rachel Rubadue and Liam Stone swept the SEC divers of the week awards. Rubadue took first on platform and 1-meter, recording the fifth-best 1-meter score in program history (320.25).
MORE AWARDS: McHugh and Heather Lundstrom were named the SEC swimmers of the week by CollegeSwimming.com. Lundstrom recorded NCAA b-cut times in the 100 butterfly (54.39) and 200 butterfly (1:58.54).
ON LOUISVILLE: Louisville's women (1-1) are ranked third and the men (1-1) are 11th in the first CSCAA national coaches poll, which was released Wednesday. The Cardinals are coming of a home sweep of Xavier, with the men winning 210-65 and the women winning 198-62.
Last year, the Tennessee men and Louisville finished in a rare tie, 150-150. The UT women lost 163-135. Tennessee's men won 9 of 16 events including both diving competitions, but Louisville rallied late for the tie by winning three of the last swimming events.
ON INDIANA, KENTUCKY: Kentucky's No. 18 men (1-1) and No. 21 women (1-1) opened the season two weeks ago with back-to-back road meets: a loss to Auburn and a sweep of South Carolina. Indiana's men are the No. 1 ranked team in the coaches' poll and the women are 12th.
This annual double dual meet is held almost every season, and last year, the meet also included North Carolina. Last year, the UT women beat Kentucky 193-107 and Indiana 153-145 but losing to North Carolina 184-116. The Tennessee men defeated Kentucky 212-88 but lost to North Carolina 166-143 and Indiana 156-144. The men won seven events, highlighted by two-win days from Sean Lehane, Mauricio Robles and Evan Pinion. The highlight on the women's side was a 1-2-3 finish in the 200 IM, led by Micah Bohon.
MEET ADDED: Tennessee added a women's dual meet to the fall schedule. The Vols will race at Vanderbilt on Nov. 4 at 6:30 p.m. Eastern. Vanderbilt only has a women's program.
