Pacetti Joins Men's Golf Staff

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee men's golf head coach Jim Kelson announced the hiring of Sean Pacetti as the Director of Instruction and Player Development.
"We are extremely fortunate to have Sean as our Director of Instruction/Player Development," said head coach Jim Kelson. "Sean is an outstanding instructor, player, communicator, and motivator. Sean knows as much about the art of playing golf as anyone I have ever met. He will be a great addition to our program."
"I'm super excited about being able to work with these young men and to be associated with the University of Tennessee is just really exciting," Pacetti said. "I admire Coach Kelson for his career and what he's done. We've been friends for a long time. We played college golf together. I look forward to learning from him and helping these young men out."
Pacetti hails from St. Augustine, Florida and has spent the last 24 years as a golf professional. Most recently Pacetti was at The Golf Club at Fleming Island as the Head of Instruction. Pacetti has worked with many world renowned instructors during his career, including Mac Ogrady, Scott Davenport, Bob Toski, Dr. Bob Rotella, Mike Shannon, Mark Wood and Tom Burnett.
Prior to his career as a golf professional, Pacetti played for 12 years as a professional, including four years as an exempt member of the Web.Com Tour. He earned a career best 18th place finish on the 1990 final money list. His best individual finishes on the Web.Com Tour include a runner-up and two third place finishes. Over his career, he has played several mini tours and collected 18 professional victories.
As a player, his career low round in a competition is 63, which he carded on five occasions. He also recorded a score of 60 on two occasions.
In college, Pacetti was a member of the University of Alabama's golf team, where he was a four year letterman and earned his B.A. from the School of Communications. There, he won the 1989 Southeastern Intercollegiate and finished in fourth place at the 1989 SEC Championship.
Pacetti is married to Amy and has three children, Ava, Ansley and Asa.
