2015 SEC Men's Golf Championship Preview

The Tennessee men's golf team begins its quest for postseason glory at the 2015 SEC Championship on Friday.
The Vols travel to Sea Island, Ga., where they will play on the Seaside course at the Sea Island Golf Club.
For the eighth time this season, Head Coach Jim Kelson will use the lineup of junior Chad Merzbacher, freshman Lorenzo Scalise, sophomore Jack Smith, junior Michael Nagy and sophomore Juan Carlos Serrano Guevara. The combination captured the Colleton River Intercollegiate title and posted second place finishes at the Quail Valley Collegiate and the Jackrabbit Invitational. Their 43-under finish at the Jackrabbit Invitational set a new school record.
We're really looking forward to playing again at Sea Island," said Kelson. "It's one of the greatest golf destinations in the world. We need to believe in ourselves and remain confident the entire tournament."
Alabama has won back-to-back SEC Championships. They enter the 2015 SEC Championship as the five seed, while Vanderbilt enters as the one seed. UT last won the SEC Championship in 2007 when Chris Paisley and Tino Weiss both finished runner-up. The Vols enter the 2015 edition as the 12 seed.
The Vols' first round will begin with at 9 a.m. (ET) Friday morning. The tournament will conclude on Sunday, April 19.
