- The Vols out-rebounded Vanderbilt 22-7 in the first half. Josh Richardson led with five rebounds.
- Of the 22 rebounds, 10 were on the offensive end and led to 13 second chance points. Vanderbilt had no second-chance points and just one offensive rebound.
- Derek Reese led all scorers in the first half with seven points.
RECORDS WATCH
- With a team-leading 20 points, Josh Richardson moved into 39th on Tennessee's career scoring list with 1,167 points.
- He passed Lang Wiseman who scored 1,156 points from 1989-93.
- It was the fourth time during SEC play -- and the fifth time this season -- he has scored at least 20 points.
- Junior Derek Reese was the only other Vol to finish with at least 10 points, setting a new career high with 13 points to go along with five rebounds.
ON REBOUNDING
- Tennessee had a 37-19 advantage in rebounding.
- The Vols out-rebounded Vanderbilt 19-1 in offensive rebounds. Willie Carmichael III led the way with four offensive rebounds.
- The Vols scored 24 points on second chance opportunities, and Vanderbilt had none.
- Four Vols had at least five rebounds each: Richardson (6), Moore (6), Carmichael (5) and Reese (5).
- Vanderbilt's 19 rebounds set a Thompson-Boling Arena record for fewest rebounds by an opposing team.
