VFL Update (1/13): Lamb Victorious

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- VFLs Rick Lamb and Chris Paisley both represented the program well last week. Find out how two former Vols finished in their respective championships here.
VFL Rick Lamb went wire-to-wire on the West Florida Golf Tour to capture the Florida Championship at World Woods Golf Club in Brooksville, Fla. (January 6-9). He currently leads the West Florida Golf Tour's Winter Tour points race by 36,552 points.
The 2013 Ping All-America honorable mention posted an impressive first round 67 (-4) to jump out to an early lead. Lamb followed it up with a second round 71 (E) to claim one of the 29 spots after the cut. The former Vol carded a third round 70 (-1) and final round 73 (+2) to capture the title, by four strokes, at 3-under par.
Over the weekend, VFL Chris Paisley competed on the European Tour in The South African Open Championship at Glendower Golf Club in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Paisley shot a first round 74 (+2) and a second round 69 (-3) to sit 1-under par after the first two rounds. At the end of the second round, the cut line was set at 2-over. Paisley posted a third round 74 (+2) and closed out the weekend with a final round even par 72. He finished T-41 at 1-over par.
Andy Sullivan of England took home the crown after defeating Charl Schwartzel on the first playoff hole. Both golfers finished 11-under par.
