THE SERIES AND THE WIN

Thursday's game marked the 49th all-time meeting between the two programs.

With the win, Tennessee moves to 39-10 in the all-time series against Auburn.

In Knoxville, the Lady Vols are now 19-2 in the series.

Over the past 26 seasons, Tennessee has extended its winning streak vs. the Tigers to 16 straight games in conests played in Knoxville.

UT's 30-point win over the Tigers is the largest margin of victory over an SEC team this season

FOR STARTERS

Today's starters: junior Cierra Burdick, sophomore Bashaara Graves, junior Isabelle Harrison, redshirt freshman Andraya Carter and senior Meighan Simmons.

It was the seventh-straight game Tennessee has utilized the lineup, and the Lady Vols are now 6-1 with the quintet.

Tennessee won the tip for the 24th time this season.

Burdick scored the Lady Vols' first basket, a jumper with 19:51 on the clock. It's the second time this season that the junior has scored UT's first points.

Mercedes Russell was first off the bench for Tennessee, the sixth time this season the freshman has been called upon first.

Junior point guard Ariel Massengale was on the bench. She suffered a facial injury during that game and missed Texas A&M (Jan. 26), Arkansas (Jan. 30), Alabama (Feb. 2), Ole Miss (Feb. 6) and Vanderbilt (Feb. 10). She was on the bench, but did not play against Kentucky (Feb. 16).

TENNESSEE DEFENSE

Tennessee has limited Auburn to 61 points the last two times the Tigers have played at Thompson-Boling Arena and held them to 63 tonight. AU hasn't eclipsed that scoring total since ringing up 72 points in an 81-72 loss to Tennessee on Jan. 12, 2003.

The Lady Vols forced 18 AU turnovers, notching 29 points off the Tiger miscues.

UT outrebounded Auburn, 47-33, with Isabelle Harrison leading the way with 11 boards.

SIMMONS SLIDES UP RECORD BOOK

With Meighan Simmons' 26 points against the Tigers, she moves into seventh on UT's all-time career scoring chart surpassing Shekinna Stricklen (1,882).

Simmons now has 1,891 career points.

SIMMONS SEEING 20-20 VS. THE TIGERS

Last season, Simmons averaged 26.5 points per game against Auburn, including 29 at Auburn and 24 in Knoxville.

Entering tonight's matchup, in the five games vs. AU, including a freshman output of five points in their lone meeting that season, Simmons was averaging 18.2 points per game vs. Auburn during her career.

Her 26 points marks her fourth 20-plus scoring outing against the Tigers in six overall meetings during her career.

DOUBLE-DOUBLE HARRISON

Junior Isabelle Harrison scored 10 points against Auburn, marking her 20-straight game hitting double figures.

The Nashville native has notched double digits in 24 of UT's 26 games this season.

With 11 rebounds, Harrison recorded her 13th double-double of the year and 19th in her career.

Among UT Juniors, Harrison is now T-3rd in double-doubles with 13, just behind Chamique Holdsclaw and Candace Parker who have 16 and 14, respectively.

HITTING DOUBLE FIGURES

The Lady Vols had four players in double figures: Meighan Simmons (26), Isabelle Harrison (10), Andraya Carter (12) and Cierra Burdick (17).

Tennessee has had three or more players score in double digits in every game this season.

TWEAKING THE TURNOVERS

After giving up 22 turnovers against Kentucky, the Lady Vols turned the ball over only 15 times against Auburn.

AT THE HALF

Tennessee led 54-33 at the halfway point.

UT's 54 points was the most points in the first half against an SEC team this season. It was also the most points the Lady Vols have scored in the first half since scoring 62 against Lipscomb on Dec. 29.

Simmons had a team-best 19 points at halftime.

The Lady Vols were outrebounding the Tigers, 21-16, with Harrison leading the way with seven boards.

UT was outscoring AU in points in the paint, 22-12, and had notched 17 points off of 10 Auburn turnovers.

Tennessee returns to action Sunday when the Lady Vols travel to the Show Me State to take on the Missouri Tigers in a 2 p.m. ET contest.
