KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Two VFLs kicked off their 2015 European Tour season in South Africa over the weekend. Find out how two former Vols faired in the Alfred Dunhill Championship here.
Two former Vols, Ross McGowan and Chris Paisley, began their 2015 European Tour season over the weekend. McGowan and Paisley competed in the Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek Country Club in Malelane, South Africa (December 11-14). Both former Vols were able to make the cut in their 2015 season debuts.
McGowan posted a first round 72 (E) followed by a second round 70 (-2) to make the cut which was 1-under par. The 2005-06 All-SEC Second Team selection carded a third round 73 (+1) and final round 78 (+6) to finish T-58 at 5-over par.
Paisley shot a first round 70 (-2) and a second round even par 72 to join McGowan at 2-under par after two rounds. The 2009 Ping All-America Honorable Mention posted a third round 73 (+1) and closed out the weekend with a final round even par 72. He finished T-33 at 1-under par.
Branden Grace of South Africa was victorious after posting rounds of 62-66-72-68 to finish 20-under par. Fellow South African, Louis Oosthuizen, finished second at 13-under par.
