Lamp Finishes Fifth in Platform Finals

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- In her first diving action since May, Tennessee diving great Tori Lamp earned a fifth-place finish on platform at the USA Diving Winter National Championships. The Knoxville native finished with a score of 924.15, a little more than 100 points behind winner Jessica Parratto of Indiana University.
After Wednesday evening's semifinals, Lamp wass in fifth place with a composite score of 618.30, while Parratto led the field with 697.15.
This week marked the Knoxville native's first platform competition since the FINA World Series competitions both in London, UK, and Windsor, Canada, this past April and May respectively. Lamp finished with a pair of 12th-place results in the two events.
She ended her career last season as a seven-time All-American, a two-time SEC Diver of the Year and a three-time SEC champion on the platform.
