November 13, 2014 | Men's Golf
The Tennessee men's golf program started building its 2015 signing class this week, as head coach Jim Kelson announced Thursday that Nolan Ray, Nicklas Mattner and Hugo Bernard all signed National Letters of Intent to attend the University of Tennessee and play for the Volunteers in the 2015-16 season.
"We are pleased to announce the signing of these newcomers to our men's golf program," Kelson said. "All three of these players possess the ability to become all-conference type players for us."
Ray was named to the 2014 AJGA HP Scholastic Team and hails from Brentwood. Mattner was a member of the 2014 German National Team and is from Braunschweig, Germany. Bernard is the 2013 Quebec Amateur Champion and is from Montreal, Canada.
"The one factor that stands out about this class is how excited each of these players are about becoming a Tennessee Volunteer," added Kelson. "All three players will undoubtedly play an integral role in our team's quest to become one of the top programs in the SEC."
All three signees plan to enroll at UT in the fall.
