Lady Vols Ninth At Mercedes-Benz

As a team, Hannah Pietila led the Lady Vols. She who shot three-over par which was good enough to finish in a tie for 16th place. Behind her was senior AJ Newell who shot a 75. Anna Newell, Lucia Polo and Mason Chen all shot rounds of 76 to round out the team scoring.
Individually, sophomore Emmie Pietila matched her sister Hannah's score shooting a twin score of 74 (+3). Teleri Hughes shot seven-over par, and Daeun Song finished up with a score of 80 (+9).
Kent State currently leads the field with a score of 289 (+5) followed by Louisville and Central Florida.
Taylor Totland of Furman leads the individuals after shooting one-under par. Three different individuals shot an even 71 for a second place tie, Laura Restrepo (Louisville), Alina Rogers (Missouri) and Wad Phaewchimplee (Kent State).
The second round of the 18th annual Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championships will commence at 9 a.m. Saturday morning.
