MADISON, Wis. -- The Tennessee men finished 32nd as a team Saturday at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational, one of the most prestigious cross country meets in the nation.
Senior Daniel Tobin was Tennessee's top performer, crossing the 8K finish line in 127th place with a time of 24 minutes, 31 seconds. Junior Peter Okwera, winner of two races already this year, was a second behind in 129th.
Tennessee's other three scorers included: senior Stephen Derlath (188th, 24:55); sophomore Kyle Walter (201st, 25:04); and junior J.R. Creekmore (223rd; 25:31).
There were 35 schools in the race. Tennessee finished one spot ahead of Texas A&M.
The next meet for the Tennessee men's and women's cross country teams is the SEC Championships on Nov. 1.
