Ford ties for fourth at St. Omer Open

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.Former Vol golfer Charlie Ford wrapped up play at the St. Omer Open presented by Neuflize OBC Sunday, finishing in a tie for fourth place.
South Africa's Darren Fichardt won the Open with a 5-under 279 score at the par 71 Aa Saint Omer Golf Club course in Lumbres, France.
With a 2-over 286 in the four-day European Tour tournament, Ford collected ? 19,675.00, the largest European Tour prize of his career. The Tennessee alum finished 50th in the event in 2011.
A native of Leicester, England, he donned the Orange and White from 2004 to 2008, where he earned all-conference and All-America honors. He wrapped up his UT career with a 73.57 scoring average in 104 rounds played for the Vols.
