Coach's Evaluation:
"Armani is a guard with great instincts. With him coming to summer school late, he was a little behind from a conditioning standpoint and knowing our expectations. But once he started getting in the groove, he caught up quickly. And he's another guy who - with help from (strength and conditioning coach Nicodemus Christopher) - did a great job changing his body in the weight room. The summer trip to Italy was really good for Armani; it gave him some confidence. He was a really good passer for us there. He should be able to do many things because he has those natural instincts for the game. He can score and pass at a high level. Now he has to keep working on his handle and get that tighter to make sure he cuts down on turnovers."
3-Point Play:
- Is believed to be the first student-athlete from Mt. Paran Christian School to receive a Division I basketball scholarship; the school opened in 1976
- Lives with fellow freshman guard Derek Reese
- Is one of four players on this year's Tennessee roster from the state of Georgia, joining senior forward Kenny Hall (Stone Mountain) and junior guards Trae Golden (Powder Springs) and Jordan McRae (Midway)
