Wright Places 30th on 3m at Nationals

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Former Tennessee Vol standout diver Michael Wright was in action on Thursday afternoon on the 3-meter boards at the 2011 AT&T National Diving Championships hosted at the Spieker Aquatics Center in Los Angeles.
Wright, who earned All-America status at the 2011 NCAA Championships, had a six round score of 295.05 to place 30th in the 3-meter competition. The top 20 advanced to the semifinals, with the event's final taking place on Saturday.
Wright will take to the 1-meter board on Friday along with rising junior Brent Sterling. Wright is the UT record holder in the 1-meter, while Sterling will be making his nationals debut.
