Golf Tops Men's Spring Grades

Men's golf turned in the spring semester's top grade-point average on campus among male varsity teams and placed two individuals on the SEC's Spring Academic Honor Roll.

Justin Walker and Darren Renwick, both of whom just completed their junior seasons, were named to the Academic All-SEC squad. Walker is majoring in management and Renwick in logistics.

Walker is on the SEC's Academic Honor Roll for the third time in addition to his inclusion on the SEC's Freshman Academic Honor Roll after his redshirt season of 2008. Renwick made the 2009 Freshman Academic Honor Roll and also was on the Academic All-SEC team in 2010.

The men's team GPA of 3.41 led all nine UT varsity squads for the spring semester. The remaining members of the 2010-11 men's golf team were Danny Keddie, Garrick Porteous, Brandon Rodgers, Marshall Talkington, Jay Vandeventer and Robin Wingardh.
