Penn Relays To Induct UT SMR

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- A decorated quartet of Lady Vols will be welcomed into an exclusive club this weekend in Philadelphia, Pa.
The 2004 Tennessee women's sprint medley relay unit of Tianna Madison, Toyin Olupona, DeeDee Trotter and Kameisha Bennett will be welcomed into the Penn Relays Wall of Fame. They will be inducted during a dinner on Friday night at the Sheraton Philadelphia University City and acknowledged at Franklin Field on Saturday, as a plaque with their names on it will be added to the wall surrounding the track.
The quartet set a meet-record time of three minutes, 41.78 for UT's first women's victory in that event, a mark no team has come within four seconds of matching since that race.
Five previous Lady Vol Penn Relays Wall of Fame inductees include Joetta Clark, Karol Davidson, Benita Fitzgerald, Alisa Harvey and Cathy Rattray.
