The Tennessee Volunteers are looking for their second Southeastern Conference win Friday when they face South Carolina for a dual meet in Columbia, S.C.
The meet starts at 2 p.m. the Blatt P.E. Center/Carolina Natatorium.
The Vols swimming and diving squad is 2-1 so far this season with a conference win at home against Kentucky. South Carolina is 2-2 this year and 0-1 in the conference. For the Gamecocks, Friday marks its final home meet of the fall.
Tennessee has boasted the last two SEC Swimmers of the Week. Senior Ricky Henahan won the award the first week, and fellow senior Jake Epperson took the award on Tuesday after winning the 200-yard breaststroke and 200 medley relay at Louisville.
A LOOK AT LAST WEEK
Tennessee is earned a 163-137 victory last week on the road at Louisville, good for the Vols' first win of the season away from home.
Epperson led the way with two individual victories, and senior Ryan Helms swept the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events for the second meet in a row.
The meet was also marked by a career performance by sophomore Renato Prono, who was coming off competition in the Pan American Games. Prono swam to a career-best 54.28 seconds, an NCAA B-Cut time
THE SOUTH CAROLINA SERIES
The Vols last played South Carolina at home in 2009, winning 184-115.
