IRVINE, Calif. - The University of Tennessee women's swimming team ended its time on the West Coast as the ConocoPhillips USA Swimming National Championships drew to a close on Saturday evening.
Former Lady Vol Christine Magnuson added another impressive display to her already remarkable performances she exhibited during the course of the five day event at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center.
Already having won her third consecutive 100m fly national title and finishing seventh overall in the 50m free, Magnuson finished sixth in the 100m free B final and 14th overall in the event with a time of 55.97. Her prelims time of 55.81 was the 14th fastest.
Signee Alex Frasier, who competed for Bluefish Swim Club, also raced in the event and touched in at 57.77 to finish 70th.
The 200m backstroke had three UT athletes compete. Rising sophomore Breanna Folk just missed making the C final cut by just over a second and claimed 26th in the event with a time of 2:35.10.
Alex Barsanti, who wrapped up her Lady Vol career in the spring, swam a time of 2:35.10 to finish 35th. Rising junior Tori Richmond took 108th with a time of 2:45.29.
