More International Gold for Vols

Tennessee swimmer Mattias Kahlin claimed gold and bronze medals recently at the Swedish Swimming Federation Championships in Malmo, Sweden.
The Vasteras, Sweden, native earned gold in the 50-meter breaststroke with a 29.13-second time. Kahlin, a rising senior for the Vols, won a bronze medal in the 100-meter breaststroke behind a time of one minute 4.59 seconds.
Former Vols swimmer and 2008 Olympian Jonas Persson also competed, also winning gold and bronze medals.
Swimming in front of his home town, Persson raced to gold in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 50.59 seconds. His bronze finish came in the 400-meter freestyle relay behind a three minutes 28.41 seconds time.
Persson also claimed to fourth-place finishes in the 50-meter freestyle (23.34) and the 400 medley relay (3:53.79).
