Alda Splits Consolation Matches

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - University of Tennessee Lady Vol tennis player Rosalia Alda split two matches in the main singles draw consolation round on Friday at the 2010 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Tournament at the Riviera Tennis Center.
Alda began her day by topping Alison Ramos of USC, 6-2, 6-7 (4), 6-3. Ramos is currently ranked No. 19 in the Campbell's/ITA rankings. ¬¬
In the quarterfinals, No. 67 Anastasia Putilina of Utah defeated Alda, 6-3, 7-6 (7), ending Alda's tournament.
Putilina advanced to face Aeriel Ellis of Texas in the semifinals. That match will be played at 11:45 a.m. PT on Saturday.
In the main draw, top-seeded Jana Juricova of Cal advanced to the semifinals
