Tennessee men???s golfer Chris Paisley is warming up for his senior season on Rocky Top having finished in second in two of England???s most prestigious amateur golf events.??
The Newcastle, England, native carded a four-day total of 285 to finish as the runner-up for the Tillman Trophy July 16-17 at East Sussex National. The Tillman Trophy is a prestigious amateur tournament in England.
Paisley opened play with rounds of 74 and 70 on Wednesday before firing rounds of 67 and 74 on Thursday to finish 3 under par, four strokes out of first place.
In the South of England Open Amateur Championships from July 22-24, Paisley tallied a four-day score of 281 to finish one stroke behind the winner.
The 2007 Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate champion fired an opening round score of 69 and followed it up with rounds of 71, 70 and 71 to finish in second place.
The rising senior begins play in the English Amateur Championships on Monday at the Woodhall Spa Golf Club in Lincolnshire.??
