Former Vol Skinns wins Hooters Tour Event

Chesterfield, Va -- David Skinns (Lincoln, England), winner of the Inverrary Classic earlier in the season, fired a four-under par 68 in Sunday's final round of the Base Camp Realty/Chesdin Landing Open over the 6767 yard ,par 72 Chesdin Lake Golf Club, for a twelve-under par 72 hole total of 276, and a five stroke victory over Glen Allen, Virginia???s Ted Brown.

Skinns, who started the day, with a one stroke lead over Jim Renner (Plainsville, MA) and Ryan Blaum (Coral Gables, FL) had nine???s of 35 and 33 to cruise to his second Hooters Tour title this season.
???I drove the ball well all week, which you had to do, (speaking of the narrow LakeChesdin fairways), and I never got to overly aggressive going at the pins,??? said former Tennessee golfer.

Skinns will earn $33,566 for his win, and will be on top of the Hooters Tour Money List with over $80,000 in earnings.????
Ted Brown, who started the day two strokes behind Skinns posted a one-under par 71 to finish alone in second place at eight-under par, for a 280 total, and will take home $16,719 for his effort.

Tied for third place another stroke back was Renner and Andrew Morse (Auburn, ME).

Steven Jenkins (Midlothian, VA) headed up the remainder of the Virginia hopefuls with a four day total of 288, even par, while Powhatan, Virginia???s Jay Woodson, finished tied for 56th at six-over par 294, and Alex Brown (Richmond, VA) tied for 60th place at seven-over par, for a 295 total.
