Lady Vol Divers Take Trip to Texas

AUSTIN, Texas ??? After almost three weeks of training, the Lady Vol divers will be back in action as they head to Austin, Texas, to compete in the Texas Invitational, Nov. 29- Dec. 1. The meet will mark the end of the fall portion of Tennessee???s diving schedule; the swimmers concluded their fall season on Nov. 17 at the Hoosierland Open Invitational.

Making the trip to the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center are seniors Lauren LeRoy and Vicky Linnell, junior Staley McCartney and freshman Jill Pierce. While head coach Dave Parrington has taken divers to Austin in the past, this squad will be making its first appearance. The team has had a successful season so far with meets at Louisville (Oct. 20), versus South Carolina and Kentucky (Oct. 26) and at Auburn (Nov. 9-10). LeRoy finished in the top three in all six events she competed in, while Linnell has three runner-up placements and a first-place finish.

Joining eighth-ranked Tennessee will be No. 3 Stanford, No. 4 Arizona, No. 12 SMU, No. 16 Texas, No. 17 Arizona State, No. 19 Wisconsin, Nebraska, TCU and UNLV. Live results can be found on www.utladyvols.com.
